Saurav Das, Chief Spokesperson for CJP, has alleged that he and others were forcibly detained by Delhi Police without following proper legal procedures. Das stated that officers took them away without providing any paperwork or legal formalities during the course of the detention. Furthermore, he claimed that their mobile phones were confiscated directly from their pockets and hands by law enforcement personnel.

Addressing the sequence of events surrounding the police action, Das expressed serious concern over potential data tampering and high-handedness. The allegations emerged as security personnel maintained a strict deployment ahead of a scheduled protest demonstration at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. Organizers and participants gathered in the capital to register their opposition, drawing heavy police presence and subsequent containment measures across the designated demonstration area.

In the lead-up to the gathering, Das also raised separate questions regarding the operational conduct of Delhi Police authorities. He alleged that his personal contact number was compromised and leaked through official police documentation, resulting in an influx of over 300 phone calls within a single hour. The unfolding situation has heightened tensions between organizers and law enforcement agencies regarding administrative transparency and due process during public demonstrations.
