Delhi Police held a media briefing in New Delhi to address the handling of CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke following the death of his 85-year-old paternal grandmother, Savitribai Shankarrao Dipke. DCP PRO Neha Yadav stated that upon receiving information regarding the demise in Maharashtra's Hingoli district, officers promptly approached Mr. Dipke to convey the sad news. She explained that police personnel offered all possible assistance to him during the process.
According to DCP Neha Yadav, officers repeatedly asked Mr. Dipke whether he wished to speak to his parents by phone, but he declined the offer. The briefing addressed the circumstances surrounding his detention and subsequent family allegations regarding the communication of the bereavement. Officials maintained that procedures were followed transparently while informing the CJP founder of the developments in Maharashtra.
The media interaction also touched upon broader security concerns and protocol adherence related to recent demonstrations in the capital. DCP Neha Yadav noted that the organization's past conduct reflected a failure to comply with established regulations during protests. Authorities continue to maintain law and order measures across designated zones in New Delhi amidst ongoing political demonstrations and related detentions.
