Bharatiya Janata Party Member of Parliament Ravi Kishan sharply criticized the ongoing opposition protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, stating that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has lost his mental balance. Speaking to reporters in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, the BJP lawmaker accused the opposition camp of attempting to hijack the country's progress while failing to present any constructive alternative to the ruling administration.
Elaborating on his remarks during the interaction, Ravi Kishan pointed to recent visuals circulating from Uttar Pradesh to claim that opposition party members have resorted to physical violence among themselves. He specifically alleged that party workers have engaged in clashes involving shoes and slippers during internal disputes regarding state leadership appointments. The senior parliamentarian maintained that such public incidents reflect deep-seated frustration within the ranks of the opposition alliance.
The BJP leader further asserted that opposition parties including the Samajwadi Party and leaders such as Akhilesh Yadav are struggling to counter the governance track record of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He expressed full support for the current national administration and stated that the public has repeatedly rejected opposition tactics during recent electoral cycles. The remarks come amid heightened political friction between the ruling party and opposition factions over institutional appointments and administrative policies.
