The Khan Market Traders Association has officially appealed to the government and the Supreme Court to relocate the designated protest site from Jantar Mantar. Representatives stated that daily demonstrations at the capital location have caused significant disruptions to local commerce, normal daily life, and the general business environment throughout the area.

Association members highlighted that ongoing demonstrations create a pervasive atmosphere of fear and uncertainty within the commercial district. Traders explained that continuous disruptions directly impact customer footfall, leading to severe financial losses for shopkeepers who are already struggling to maintain steady revenue streams amidst the shifting economic landscape.

Local business owners emphasized that while the right to assemble is vital, the constant recurrence of demonstrations in close proximity to major markets places an undue burden on the local economy. The traders are urging authorities to establish alternative, dedicated demonstration zones in the outskirts of the capital, such as Burari or Rohini, to balance civic rights with commercial viability.
